Halloween ( 31th October)
On October 31st, we celebrate Halloween, thought to be
the one night of the year when ghosts, witches, fairies and are especially
active. Children that day disguised what you like and go from House to House
saying "trick or treat" begging for food, candy or what families want
them to give.
Today's Halloween Traditions
- The American Halloween tradition of
"trick-or-treating" probably dates back to the early All
Souls' Day parades in England.
- The tradition of dressing in
costume for Halloween has both European and Celtic roots.
Chrismas ( 25th December )
Christmas is celebrated on December 25 by the birth of
Jesus. Christmas is magical, all families and friends gather to share customs
which have existed for many years. The British prepare it days earlier with
cards, games of Christmas... The houses are decorated, and the streets filled
with lights, which spend the winter in a beautiful way.
